Mobile Concept by PURION

The PURION mobile tripe solution enables a UV based disinfection of water using one PURION UV plant during (1.) filling of the tank with water, during (2.) storage of the water within the tank and during (3.) taping of the water for consumption.

The pre-assembled PURION Mobile Concept compact system enables the immediate provision of drinking water and consists of a UV system, filters and pump.

In addition to the UV system, two filter positions can be occupied with particles or special filters.

I Initial Situation:
Within mobile applications e.g. caravan & expedition vehicles or boats often a safe and autarkic water supply without using plastic bottles is required. Therefore it is necessary to establish an autarkic treatment of the water since the contamination of the water is often already a challenge during filling of the tanks or contamination tends to develop during storage of the water.

II Complication/ Challenge:
The aim is not only having sediment filtration and UV based disinfection of the water during sampling but also during filling and storage of the water. The installation of a second UV-plant is not a proper solution because of the small installation space and the additional costs.


   Requirements of a solution

  chemical free treatment of the water:
  • filling of the tank with water
  • storage of the water in the tank
  • taping of the water from the tank
  • no duplication of plants for treatment of the water

 

 

III Solution – PURION mobile triple solution

Product package containing:

  1. PURION UV-plant
  2. pump
  3. 2x 3-port valves
  4. sediment filter
  5. activated carbon filter

Of course it is possible that the customer use its own existing pump. In this case the required interfaces will be provided with the integrated control box.

0 step arrangement/ installation

The installation of the product set is carried out very customized. In general ahead of the first 3-port valve the filtration against sediments is carried out. After the first 3-port valve the pump is assembled. After the pump the treatment of the water by means of activated carbon is carried out. Afterwards the UV based disinfection with the PURION UV plant follows. The second 3-port valve should be assembled after the UV plant.

1. step: PURION mobile triple solution: filling

For filling of the water tank both 3-port valves have to move into the right position:

  • the pump delivers water from the source to fill the tank
  • before the water gets into the tank a pre filtration with sediment filter and activated carbon filter is carried out
  • after pre filtration just before entrance into tank the water disinfected by means of UV light

?only water with drinking water quality gets into the tank

2. step PURION mobile triple solution: circulation mode during storage

During operation of caravan & expedition vehicles or boats storage and sampling of the water over a certain time span e.g. days or weeks is very common. With the PURION mobile triple solution it is possible to keep the quality of water in line with drinking water standards continuously and without using chemicals. For the circulation mode please adjust the position of the first 3-port valve:

  • the pump delivers the water from the tank
  • before the water gets back into the tank again a pre filtration with activated carbon filter is carried out
  • moreover the water is disinfected by UV light before it gets back into the tank

drinking water quality can be reached without using chemicals.

3. step PURION mobile triple solution: consumption

To reach high hygiene standards of the drinking water regulation its mandatory to have UV based disinfection of the water in case of sampling for consumption. It is easily done with the PURION mobile triple solution. For sampling of water please adjust the position of both 3 port valves:

  • the pump delivers the water from the tank
  • before taping the water an additional pre filtration with activated carbon is carried out
  • as last step before taping the water a safe reliable disinfection in line with drinking water regulation is carried out

drinking water quality is ensured whenever water is taped with the mobile application

  • during filling the tank with water
  • during storage the water within the tank
  • during taping of water from the tank
